Hey y'all. I had to get this intro out here to join this community and pick your brain like a surgeon 🧠. Just want to share a little about this thing. If you read this far, carry on below..👇
I'm from California and I had just bought this baby since May of this year. I'm the second owner. Found this sitting in my neighbors moms driveway for over a year, didn't think much of it. Then I was in the market looking for a muscle car again, had that itch to drive a powerful ride after having a '93 Mustang LX hatch back in '18. I seen him outside and I straight up asked him if he's looking to sell. He was adamant about it and didn't want to, but with my silver tongued words, guess I sold myself well. That was in March. Fast forward to May and I bought it. He he even helped get it started. He used to race this thing and this was his first car he bought off the lot, brand new back in '89.
1989 Camaro IROC-Z from Van Nuys, CA. Came out the mechanical factory womb with the 305 SBC, 5 speed, converted to a 383 stroker with all the internal parts necessary. Roughly about 90K miles. Doing a full restoration since it has been sitting for 12 years in and out of my neighbor's driveway. Interior actually was in decent shape, especially for its age! One rip on driver seat, and the A pillar trim on the right snapped off. Carpet could use a replacement but moderate wear and rips in the rear part of the carpet. Of course as many of third generation owners know, Stuart Little and his cousins fucking love these cars. Found many drippings in mine but no signs of Stuart Little himself. Currently working on rebuilding the trunk motor (it works, just needed a little rebuilding and new grease) and interior work.
If you have ANY leads on interior parts for this, give me a holler. I tagged the IG page so you can follow the build. I mainly use stories but you'll see the progress. Thanks for your time reading. Have a great Christmas and New Years.
