Very stupid calorie in, calorie out question

Post Body
I usually hit my Apple Watch move goal of 750 calories everyday, which includes a 300 calorie cardio workout daily. I’ve restricted myself to around 1250 calories per day.
With that said, if my move for 750 calories a day, does that essentially give me 750 extra calories of wiggle room? In example: I have a 2,000 calorie intake for the day, does the subtracting that 750 essentially mean I only “had” an intake of 1,250? Thanks!!
