For meat, I know it's easy to find calories for what you're eating whether you're weighing the meat raw or cooked. However, yesterday I made a batch of Chex Mix with my own mix of ingredients. I weighed everything. All the ingredients together weighed 916g before baking. After baking, 832g. There was not much left in the pan, certainly not 90g worth. I'm not sure whether I should use the pre cooking or post cooking weight to track.

In the end there's only a 9 calorie difference between a 1/4 cup serving either way, but now I'm just curious which measurement I should use (pre or post cooking) I should similar situations arise in the future.

Thanks!
