For those of you who bite the skin around your nails, how long did it take for your fingers to fully heal? After about 3 weeks of not biting, my fingers are looking much better, but in the bath, when they "prune", I can see damage still. Any idea on how long it will take for them to fully heal?

I've been biting the skin around my nails since I was a teenager. After quitting biting about 3 weeks ago. Instead of biting I am applying lotion to my hands. It's amazing how much better they look and feel. But in the bath, after they've "pruned", I can see a lot of damage. How long will it take for my fingers to completely heal?
