will my nail regrow normally? any tips or success stories are greatly appreciated because i am worried about it

i’ve done worse. anecdotal evidence but i’ve never had the permanent deformities i’ve always been warned about. my shit can get pretty gnarly but whenever i stop biting for the time it takes for a full new nail to grow out, it comes in regular.
