I read the book, looked at some one shots, and was wondering what the general take on the character and mythos is.
I understand a lot of the themes are about intimate self reflection and deconstruction after receiving impossible new information/fantasy (specifically from the 2nd Act), but was wondering how my fellow keepers depict the growing insanity brought about by Hastur and the Yellow Sign.
People can read the entire script without going traditionally insane in the Lovecraftian sense, but what is the common theme? Obsession, denial, delusions, dreams of grandeur? There seems to be several different throughpoints in the book by RW Chambers, and a few of the one shots (namely the Hastur Cycle and Ripples of Carcosa) seem to have different overall opinions on what the play is meant to do.
