Hello my fellow Keepers, have you ever ran a game of Call of Cthulhu in favor of the investigators?

I have my players going through scenarios that are already published before I decide to put them inside of a campaign, that being Mask of Nyarlathotep, so far everyone has been able to stay alive and due to luck of the dice and were able to defeat a Great Old One using a improvised explosion.
I would like to hear from my fellow Keepers if they have players who are managing well within the Mythos or who were able to stay alive long enough for the ending to a campaign
