What was your bonus like, what KPIs or sales did you have to meet and was it oversold in your job interview or job ad?
I recently left my old call centre job for a new one, I don’t know the bonus structure here because it’s only for full timers, but here was my old one.
Our KPIs were attendance, adherence, quality, AHT. It was definitely oversold in our job interviews they’d go on about how you earn $400 a bonus a month, but the kicker was you needed a year already without any sick leave which encouraged people to come in sick, and all your other KPIs and whether you were full time too.
Roughly on average (before tax): - Adherence was about $10 - AHT was about $40 and you needed to be 100% or more for inbound/outbound combined - Quality roughly $100, you needed 100% - Attendance $30 a month
I’m definitely not complaining about the bonus it was nice, but it was oversold and caused people to do dodgy things to keep AHT down, adhere better, and attend work sick.
TLDR; what’s your bonus structure like & is it worth the hype?
