I'm 39. I took cad classes in high school, and absolutely loved it. Had a great teacher, and I was good at it. I have an eye for detail to a fault. Through some stupid choices made as a young person, I never pursued a cad career. Since then I've been in the various aspects of construction through: the Navy, college, and professional career, including currently owning my own business. I may have the opportunity to go back to school and I was considering doing cad. Is it still relevant? I would love to be able to do designs for my projects, so even if it's just for that, I may still do it. I honestly barely have thought of cad or kept up on what's current for 20 years. It seems like it's everywhere, like anyone could do it now with all the apps and everything. Is there a market for freelance cad? What's the business like nowadays?
Much appreciated.
