Is this an original sega genesis 2 cable or for something else?

I have what looks like a 9-pin to yellow/white out, but the 9-pin bit only has 2 pins... with no other holes indicating a break of the other 7 pins. I thought it was my sega genesis 3 av cord but it’s not projecting on my screen. Is my sega just messed up or is this the wrong cable?
