In the above photo you can see how they're kind of smooshed and the cable combs get moved around.
Hey PC friends,I have 3 ModMesh PCI-e cables going in to my Red Devil Ultim. 6900. When I pop the side glass panel on my 011 Dynamic into place, it's such a tight fit that it shifts the cables as well as my gpu and definitely puts some pressure on everything inline with it including the mobo. It's probably nothing that would eventually be damaging but a slightly better fit would definitely be preferred for easier accessibility over time b/c I'm constantly taking my panels off to do things in there.
The cables only protrude maybe a few millimeters past the frame of the chassis so I'm thinking that if they were much softer and flexible, this would be much less of an issue, if any. Can anyone that has used both ModMesh and Modflex cables chime in with their opinion please? Definitely don't mind going with the Flex "Blood Red" instead of the Mesh "Red".
Also, I've considered a 90' PCI-e adapter...It would totally solve the issue but I'm not sure it would work with the three 8pins? 🤔...at least the few I was looking at on Amazon. More importantly tho, adding a weird intermediate point in between a reliable PSU and GPU that's connected with reliable cables that happen to be carrying sometimes more than 500w of power seems terrifying and unnecessary, plus I love admiring the lovely curves of well made cables. Don't want 'em to lay boring and flat if I can help it. Thanks for reading. This is my first time asking a question in here, any input will be very appreciated.
Cheers,
-B
