12VHPWR and voltages
Post Body

Hereโ€™s my two cents for the voltages and sense pins with the old style 12VHPWR.

I was seeing voltages as low as 11.35 in HWinfo and 11.6 idle voltages with black screens crashing my computer.

I unplugged cable to check for melting and all is good, reinstalled it with a different bend in the cable and poof, higher voltages in HWinfo. The lowest under full load was 11.785. Idle was 11.865.

I uninstalled the cablemod cable and submitted a support ticket for a new revised cable, and in the meantime I have reinstalled the octopus squid nvidia cable. Same exact voltages, 11.785 under load and 11.865 at idle.

So, if you are using the V1 of the 12VHPWR PCIE cable, I would suggest monitoring voltages and replacing it with a newer revised one because these sense pins suck on the v1 and can easily cause a lot of problems.

My system specs are:

4090 suprim X Z690 force Wi-Fi mb Ddr5 Corsair dominator ram EVGA G 1600 W PSU i7 12700k H150i elite water cooler
