Church and state?
Post Body
Note before actual question: I am worldbuilder, I am creating fictional worlds and cultures and language families and so on. So that is why I am here asking stuff.
The actual question: I was told that in Byzantium (and orthodoxy in general (apparently)) church and state were not separated as for example in France. So how exactly did this work? I appreciate any answers, but I am asking you to be a little detail.
Thank you very much.
