My Business Idea for School Project (Feedback Requested)
Post Body

So in one of my classes I had to come up with a business idea for my final project and my idea ended up being the highest rated in my class but I was hoping for some genuine feedback from the "real world", so here goes...(keep in mind that I'm only 18)

In essence it is a spin on the traditional meal kit delivery service, utilizing a analytic software from IBM's Watson Supercomputer (the one that destroyed humans at Jeopardy) called Bon Appetit. This software (which I got to beta test several years ago), allows users to pick an array of five ingredients of their choice and then pick a variety of styles (eg Italian or Mexican) and lastly the type of dish (eg Pizza or Curry) and then their parameters are analyzed by the supercomputer and a viable recipe for the desired dish is created (with step-by-step cooking instructions) for use or experimentation. After testing the software extensively, I realized that only limit to creating an exciting and tasty dish was my own creativity (the software is even programmed to detect which flavors and ingredients have the most synergy). So my proposal is basically the modern-day meal kit delivery service but powered by IBM's software, allowing customers to pick a truly unique and interesting meal every time they order.

To keep things both efficient and interesting, I would limit the number of ingredients to the top 40 most popular (which users would be able to vote on once a month, you know to spice things up) and customers could order from a mobile app or a website. The requests would be processed and shipped from a central facility (which could easily be scaled up and potentially even utilize drone delivery in the near future). The meal kit would come with the custom printed recipe placard that they requested via the Bon Appetit software. The cost per meal would be $12.99, with customers paying for the potential variability of every meal.

Alternatively if the meal kit delivery market goes bust, I believe that this concept could be easily adapted to a chain of sit-down restaurants. The restaurants would basically act as a custom-tailored buffet, where no two meals would have to be the same. Anyways I'm sure I butchered my own idea so if you have any questions or comments, I would really appreciate it if you would help me out with some feedback!
