Hi All!
So I've been on a journey to 'keyword' my skills and interests and narrowed it down from "digital transformation consultant" to IT Business Analyst, but I have some questions.
What would be the next step (3 years post-MBA) where I could go with these skills? What is the progression for a NON-TECHNICAL IT Business Analyst? I always describe my goal as - wanting to help companies leverage IT solutions more effectively.
Context:
The Job: IT Strategy LDP
Industry: effectively, CPG (consumer products and goods)
The JD (rephrased on GPT to avoid linking):
- Data-Driven Solutions Development: Develop innovative approaches to harnessing data and insights, utilizing tools such as data lakes, pipeline architectures, and visualization dashboards.
- Strategic Business Enhancement: Facilitate collaboration between IT and business units to analyze processes and technology, offering insights on enhancements for scalability, alternative solutions, and investment strategies to align with department objectives.
- Technology Strategy Development: Assess technology requirements for the winery, exploring opportunities for streamlining or expanding technology solutions. Evaluate architectural strategies, considering both capability and long-term cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
2-Year LDP Rotations:
- Rotations through: sales, marketing, business functions (like HR and finance), Ops, etc. All as basically, IT Business Analyst/"associate"?
Background:
I'm first year MBA and pivoting to IT/IS. I do not have a technical (CS/Engineering) background. I have an internship which is 100% the work I want to do, and the industry will never fail, but I don't love the location and should I want to leave after the LDP... where can I take this experience?
