Vacationing in Burlington and need some Reddit advice

Post Body

To the Reddit universe, my wife and I are visiting Burlington Oct 3-16th. She wants to do some light hiking, I'll just want to chill and take in the woodsy Fall foliage. Ideally, we'd like to stay 20 min or so outside of Burlington so we can pop in for dinner etc.

So what parts of the area should we be looking at? Ideally, we'd like to find a small house $200-$300/night range - ideas other than AirBnB? They don't seem to have many options. Thx!
