Everything is so expensive in Burlington.

This is my first Reddit post, so I hope I'm doing this right. I'm currently looking at attending grad school at UVM but every single listing on Craigslist is in the $1,000 range and I don't really want to have roommates. Is there anywhere I can look for cheaper rent that wouldn't be more than a 15 minute drive from campus?
