Hello everyone!
I will (sadly) be leaving the fair city of Burlington by the end of June, and will moving internationally. I've been through several cross-country and international moves before, and so I know that the stress and cost of trying to transport or store my belongings far exceeds the cost of eventually replacing what I need, when I need it.
As such, I am looking to sell (or donate, or worst case scenario, dump) the vast majority of what I own -- with the exception of anything that I might consider sentimental or otherwise irreplaceable.
This includes everything from cookware and other kitchenware, to DVDs, to books, and even furniture.
I'd like to begin by at least trying to sell as much as I can. I'm not expecting to rake in huge profits, but some of what I own is of good enough quality that I would rather not donate or dump just yet. My first question is:
Can anyone recommend the best way to sell my belongings in the Burlington area? I have not had much luck thus far selling simple items like DVDs on Facebook Marketplace; many of the Burlington-specific groups are absolutely littered with spam!
Ultimately, if it comes down to needing to dump anything, can anyone please recommend the most economic way of doing so -- short of hauling it to the dump myself. I do not currently have a vehicle, let alone one that is large enough to bring large loads to the dump.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions that anyone can provide.
Also, if anyone is interested in purchasing something, please let me know what you're looking for -- there's a good chance I'm getting rid of it!
Hey, if you're looking to off load any smaller dressers or a low shelf, I've been looking for one.
I'm in the NEK, so I'm not super familiar with the Burlington specific FB groups, and I know marketplace there is pretty sketch. Have you tried Front Porch Forum?

Sounds good, I'll shoot you a DM and try and remember to reach out again in June. Just looking for one or two smaller things, so this sounds like it could be a good fit! Good luck with everything - I've done a couple international moves as well, and I know it's a lot.
