My burger-loving 10-year-old and I are going to start selling burgers at our town's monthly festival. We've been practicing for months, and we think we're ready. However, she and I have a pretty big disagreement over what cooking surface to use. I like my cast iron, she likes my cheap-ass black and decker griddle. She says the stuff on the griddle tastes more like the diners we've been to.
Honestly, I want to bow to her wishes, because if I empower her now on cooking decisions like this, I think it'll build up confidence and make her a better chef.
But I don't want to use that griddle, as it has uneven heat distribution. So if I go her route and choose something that isn't cast-iron, what would you recommend? Budget is $100.
