It may sound a bit strange, but from since this morning, it's Hunter Thompson's quote: “There he goes. One of God’s own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.” After a fellow reddit or reminded me of that quote I couldn't get Bukowski out of my head. Do you think the quote suites him?
i took off to tennessee last august with a guy i met in my hometown bar (i live in ct). the first two days i stayed at his house, he was away for a work trip, and there was a heat wave. the air conditioning shit the bed and it got so hot in the house that the router got fried so no tv. when i went looking for something to entertain me i found maybe a half dozen books. one of them was a collection of bukowski's poetry. the guy turned out to be weird in a bad way. that book was a red flag i ignored.
