As title states, just wondering if anyone upgraded to the 7950x while also using the Elgato 4K60 Pro, which motherboard are you using? This is my first time using the cheapest motherboard option, (5950x got RMA'd, Microcenter did a deal giving free 32 GB DDR5 Ram and $50 off a motherboard.)
This reddit post basically describes my issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/gigabyte/comments/xu42mb/x670_aorus_elite_ax_not_detecting_any_pcie_card/
According to Elgato, it's because I'm using 2x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro SSDs: (My motherboard can hold 4 total).
Passthrough still works, (My PC needs to be on to use my consoles on my dedicated console monitor, not though a PC monitor via 4K Capture Utility.) However, Streamlabs OBS, OBS Studio, and 4K Capture Utility basically shows no capture device detected. Even the Camera app on Windows 11 used to able to switch between my actual camera and my capture card, now there's no switch option available.
I've tried nearly everything possible.
- Downloaded latest drivers via: https://www.elgato.com/en/downloads
- Reset the PC (via button and back switch).
- Reseating the capture card on PCIe slots 2 and 3.
- Trying to find and update via Device Manager
Also checked BIOS, only my Zotac 3090 Ti is shown, not the capture card.
I'm still in the 15 day return window (3 Days Left), just wondering which motherboard to exchange to. (Ideally not costing $1K such as: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/MXjBD3/asus-rog-crosshair-x670e-extreme-eatx-am5-motherboard-rog-crosshair-x670e-extreme )
