Post Body

So I am using new egg for this, but here is my design so far (links at bottom in same order)

CPU: Intel Core i5-10400 Comet Lake 6-Core 2.9 GHz LGA 1200 65W BX8070110400 Desktop Processor Intel UHD Graphics 630

CPU Fan: Thermaltake UX100 5V Motherboard Sync High Airflow Hydraulic Bearing ARGB Lighting CPU Cooler

Motherboard: GIGABYTE B460M DS3H LGA 1200 Intel B460 Micro-ATX Motherboard with M.2, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.2 Gen 1

Ram: GeIL SUPER LUCE RGB SYNC 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Intel XMP 2.0 Desktop Memory Model GLS416GB3200C16ADC

Video card: GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1650 OC 4G Graphics Card, 2 x WINDFORCE Fans, 4GB 128-Bit GDDR5, GV-N1650OC-4GD Video Card

Case: Fractal Design Core 1100 Black Micro ATX Mini Tower Computer Case

PSU: EVGA 650 B5, 80 Plus BRONZE 650W, Fully Modular, EVGA ECO Mode, 5 Year Warranty, Compact 150mm Size, Power Supply - 220-B5-0650-V1

Storage: WD Blue 3D NAND 250GB Internal SSD - SATA III 6Gb/s M.2 2280 Solid State Drive - WDS250G2B0B (I may plan on getting them more storage depending on how things go)

Additions: I also plan on getting them a wireless adapter PCI-E card. Cause well, WiFi and I do not think their work place has an Ethernet available (heresy of the highest order). My current track record with those is quite shit tbh, any recommendations would go miles for me.

CPU Notes: I know that in terms of bang for your bucks, right now, AMD is king (or so I heard) but I am more experience with Intel, and try to stick with what I know to some extent if I need to help trouble shoot for them. Though if you have something that is extremely good combo for motherboard and and CPU, tell me and I may consider changing it up and doing something new!

Overall: They do not need a powerful machine for gaming (they play some games, its just they are not hardcore), the most intense stuff they do is coding and some times video editing.

They are college student and so hard cap is $1,000, but I wanna keep it as low as possible, or at least below $800.

Non Important background info:

Friend wanted good computer, and I am building it for them for free because I want experience in building them, so when I save up enough to build one for my wholesome girlfriend, it can be the best I can do.

If you have any advice, not even related to this build, but overall that rookies makes, or see any of them in the current build, 100% tell me! I wanna do the best I can for every build!
