Hello there! I'm looking to build my very first PC since my laptop is slowly dying. I don't have much knowledge on PC building but I'm confident I can put the parts together.

Budget: up to $1000

Operating System or Peripherals: I'll be dual booting Windows and Linux (Windows only for games). I'm also going to need a monitor.

Intended use: I'm going to use my computer mostly for work (remote software dev) on Linux, while occasionally booting into Windows to play some games. I mostly play Starcraft II, League of Legends and some lightweight indie games. Being able to play some more demanding games is a plus but not a necessity.

If possible I'd like to be able to max out Starcraft II for that bling :D
