My potato laptop is on its last legs, need to replace it.
Wanted to get a half decent desktop mainly for creative stuff, writing, video, music etc. But would also like to play indie games that don't come out on consoles, and mods for FromSoft titles (have ps5 for AAA releases which I barely play anyway)
My last desktop was in 2004. My grasp on specs is shaky at best. I know RAM and ROM to a certain degree (I'd like 1tb ssd amd at least 16gb memory, with room for expanding these) but when it comes to processors and graphics cards I'm an utter noob.
My friend suggested a good last season laptop would be a better fit as I do like to be able to take my work between home, studio, collaborators houses etc.
And as long as the output connectors are there I could hook it up to a good monitor/TV, get a good keyboard and speakers for home use.
I know this is maybe not build your own PC remit but I thought I may as well post and try and gain some wisdom.
Ive been checking ebuyer and have found a few that tickle my fancy. There's a TUF series I really like but honestly don't understand all the letters and numbers jargon.
I imagine I've missed out criteria that would help you guys guide me so please ask me to clarify ot expand on things to help you help me.
Thanks in advance. Cheers guys!
