I have a really hard time to find monitors within my budget: 300€. I live in Germany. Prices are wayyy different here and most recommendations don't fit in my country.
After several hours of research I have these monitors:
LG 27GN800 (270€):
- Terrible stand. I would need to buy a VESA mount (40€). Is the automatic recommendation under every post still recent? Is this monitor still the best budget option?
HP X27Q (270€):
- I just do not find a lot of people that recommend this one compared to for example the LG. This confuses me since it seems similar and even slightly better spec-wise. I like the more simple design.
Samsung Odyssey G5 S27AG500NU (300€): THIS IS A MODEL WITH IPS PANEL.
- I've read this monitor can only do 165 Hz with 8 bit colors. Don't think this will bother me since in most games I prefer higher settings with only ~120Hz. Despite this, I often read things like 'Odyssey G5 is trash' and I really don't know if this is only meant for the VA panel one.
If I decide to raise my budget for e.g. 350€, there are still several 'usual recommendations' unavailable (like the LG 27GP850 or LG 27GN850 in order to save money on the VESA mount). The only one I find is:
Gigabyte M27Q (330€):
- Heard this has issues with uncommon RGB range or something like this. Also, I read that Gigabyte has terrible quality control and warranty service. Hardware Unboxed (a YT channel) recommended this one explicitly.
What are your opinions on these different monitors? Which one would you recommend / which one do you use and are you happy with it? Thanks a lot!
