looking to improve my computer
Post Body

What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.

I use my desktop for school, work, and casual gaming. I attend streamed lectures and meetings. I use it to write papers and research. I watch a lot of Twitch streams. In my free time I like to play Sims 4 and other games more casually. The Sims 4 is probably the most demanding game I own at the moment, but I want to get into more multiplayer games eventually.

What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?

I'd like to spend no more than $1000 if possible.

When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.

I'll be buying some parts as soon as I know what to buy.

What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (Tower/OS/monitor/keyboard/mouse/etc)

Power supply and graphics card mainly as well as any other recommended parts to improve my experience.

Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?

NJ, USA. No microcenter near me.

If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.

I have upgraded to 32 GB RAM (Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz C16 DDR4 DRAM Memory Kit - Black). I have a CORSAIR - K55 Wired Gaming Membrane Keyboard with RGB Backlighting, a logitech (?) gaming mouse pc117a, two monitors (acer and view sonic), and an acer TC-866-UR11 desktop.

Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?

Probably not because I don't know what that means.

Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)

I'm hoping to make my computer faster and have a better gaming experience.

What type of network connectivity do you need? (Wired and/or WiFi) If WiFi is needed and you would like to find the fastest match for your wireless router, please list any specifics.

WIFI

Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-tower/full-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?

I would love to someday get one of those cases that you can see into with LED lighting but it's not a priority right now.

Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?

If using my current system I already have windows on it.

Extra info or particulars:

Thanks for any help! I'm new to upgrading computers but am excited to learn.
