~$2500 Gaming build w/ a focus on low temps and low noise (1st build)
Post Body

What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.

  • I want to be able to play AAA games at 1440p/144 MHz for the next few years. Crazy FPS numbers don't matter to me, as long as games are buttery smooth. However nothing irks me more than a computer that sounds like it's about to perform a vertical takeoff. I also live in a super hot city in the desert and my room gets very hot easily, I'd like a computer that keeps chilly. If I had to choose however I'd of course go with keeping it cool rather than quiet.
  • Light video-editing. I have no idea what to ask for here, but I'll be edit 5-10 minute videos with no crazy huge pictures or complex animations. Basically what any laptop can push so didn't include in title.

What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?

MAX $2600. Between $2000 and $2500 while still running games on Ultra would be best, of course!

When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.

ASAP

What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (Tower/OS/monitor/keyboard/mouse/etc)

  • A tower
  • A monitor - prefer an IPS for the better colors. I'm no pro gamer so 4 or 5 ms response time doesn't sound game-breaking for me...or is it?...😳....

Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?

West Texas, sadly no Microcenter out this way :(

If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.

N/A

Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?

Both CPU and GPU but not straight away.

Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)

1st build so I'd like some RGB but nothing excessive. Again, just looking to keep cool and quiet.

What type of network connectivity do you need? (Wired and/or WiFi) If WiFi is needed and you would like to find the fastest match for your wireless router, please list any specifics.

WiFi is not required but would be nice if price difference isn't too much.

Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-tower/full-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?

Full tower with great airflow and tempered glass, unsure if glass is better or worse for temps and noise, though.

Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?

No.

Any extra info or particulars:

Nothing, just a thank you in advance! I'm a huge noob with this stuff and appreciate any bit of knowledge.
