• Reusing a case (is a mid-size, custom made at a private computer store in L.A. Store is called Computer Condiments. Google search failed to bring up the item number. Details on the case, the front has a 3.5 floppy drive, optical, headphone/mic jacks, 2 USB 2.0 jacks. If it's better to just get a newer case modern jacks and fans, that's fine.), keyboard (Microsoft model 1031), mouse (Microsoft basic optical mouse), and monitor (samsung model 226bw).

Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?

• Don't see any reason overclocking is necessary.

• SSD and 1-2TB HDD.

Do you need a copy of Windows 7 or 8.1 included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference for one or the other?

• I do need Windows. I would say 7, unless there is overwhelming need for 8.1.
