I'm looking for a new hard drive, just wondering on reliability. All the different types are for specific jobs, NAS, surveillance, performance which isn't what I'm using it for. I assume the NAS and surveillance are more durable for constantly on and writing but not sure how my use of switching on and off, coming in and out of power saving will fair up with them. This is for long term data storage but it's the spinning up all the time I'm thinking is not what the above and designed for. What do others use?
