Post Body

Hello,

Last week I built my PC and everything went great, first power on posted. I gamed a lot last week probably 40 hrs, I had no problems. On Sunday I decided to upgrade to windows 11. Upgrade went fine, gamed some no problems. Yesterday my computer just started turning off after gaming for anywhere 10 to 20 minutes. If I don't game, just browse web, watch Twitch or movies I can do that for 10 hrs no problem.

PC parts list * Asus Rog Strix B550-F gaming, * 5800X3D, * 4x8 Corsair Vengeance 3600mhz, * Powercolor 6950Xt, * Lian Li GALAHAD AIO 360, * Sabrent Rocket 4.0 2 TB M.2-2280 NVME * EVGA SuperNOVA 1050 G power supply.

All drivers are up to date, most recent BIOS is installed. I have tried all the troubleshooting stuff I know. Try 1 stick of ram rotating through all 4 sticks no post, reset CMOS no post. Replaced CMOS battery no post. I cannot try another videocard as I do not have another. Also I do not have another power supply to try and swap in.

Here is the kicker if I disconnect CPU power cables and the 24 pin motherboard cable and wait 20 minutes or so. Plug everything back in and reset CMOS. My computer posts and I can get into BIOS and then windows will start up and I can surf and watch Twitch or movies again. If I try ang game bam shutdown after 5 to 10 minutes.

I also reverted to Win10 and problem persisted. I am hoping to get my hands on a multimeter this afternoon to test out the power supply.

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Also I will be in a meeting from !2 to 1 pm EST this afternoon and will not be able to answer questions at that time.

Thanks Gramzzzz

Edit

The power supply was the culprit. Replaced it and this PC is a monster.
