I've just purchased some upgrades for my PC along with the iCUE h100i Elite Capellix. For some reason it seems impossible to get the cooler to have an even mounting pressure. My temps are extremely high in stress tests (100c). When I removed the cooler with the stock paste applied, the center has not even made contact with the CPU, only the top and bottom has.

I have the lga1700 retrofit screws which I am using. The motherboard has 1700 and 1200 cooler mounting holes, I am using the 1700 holes, the corsair adjustable backplate fits through them just fine.
I have remounted the cooler several times trying different methods and positions, but I cannot get the center of the CPU to make contact with the cooler.
