Sound card with robust driver support?

Post Body

My old Xonar DGX is refusing to cooperate with my new Z690 motherboard - fresh OS install after the swap-out. Using the UNi Xonar driver worked for awhile, but it's started malfunctioning again (audio on one side goes to maximum volume, no matter which port the headphones are plugged into).

I've been looking at replacement cards but all of them seem to have driver issues (i.e. barely support for Windows 10 let alone 11), and I'm considering a swap to Linux down the line and am concerned about availability of Linux-friendly drivers. Is there a sound card out there with more up-to-date drivers, ideally active community support?
