So anyway, I've just finished picking what parts I think I'd like to purchase for my next machine. I'm going to go with a Gainward GeForce GTX 680 Phantom for the GPU, it's about 670$ in my country.

I'm located in Denmark, just in case you're wondering why the build cost and the budget doesn't match.

I'd just like to say that the build price is way off, it's going to be about double the price for the parts I've found here in Europe. The 1600$ represent how much I'm willing to spend though; if you create a build just keep in mind that the total is approximately doubled, when you match the prices in Denmark (ugh... taxes, right?).

I'm really new to configuring these builds, I've pretty much just (almost randomly) chosen what people seem to recommend to each other. I'm not really big on overclocking, but if someone can make a convincing case then I might go for it ;)

I'd also just like to say that my room has carpeted floors - how will this affect my CPU cooler (and the other coolers in general)?

And finally, when I finally press the big, exciting "Purchase"-button, what cables/extra gear should I buy with it (compressed air, static wristband, cables, etc.)?
