I have about $2500 to use on this. I mainly plan on using this for gaming, virtual machines(coding, secure environments, etc) and photo editing (photoshop) [in that order].
I chose the 3930K because it seems to be the best at much of the applications that are able to use multiple cores. Its performance in gaming however has led me to also consider the 3770K (which would change the build significantly). I'm not convinced one way or the other and could use some help.
The GTX 670 is not the one that's actually available, but I would like to get the best one wherever, but as I'm sure you guys know, it's out of stock everywhere...
Power supply is actually a Rosewill modular (still bronze, etc). Not sure what wattage I really need for this thing. I have small plans of possibly upgrading to dual SLI once more money becomes available.
Really, I'd like this configuration to last about 3-4 years stock but be able to get upgrades and still be relevant for maybe 5-6. I know that's hard to predict.
