Pc turns in for a few seconds then shuts off

A month or so ago my pc started turning on for a few seconds then turning off. Sometimes I can get a full boot and if I do the pc will work fine and even go in and out of sleep fine. Most the time when I hit the button nothing at all happens. Every so often a brief power up then of I get lucky it will boot and be usable.
How do I get it to boot every time? Everything seems to be connected well inside
