OK for a CPU swap to 5600X from 2600 on a B450 Tomahawk NON-Max?

Bought the motherboard in December 2018. BIOS is already up-to-date for my NVMe drive. 4 sticks of 8GB RAM at XMP1 as the system can't currently handle XMP2. RX580 8GB GPU. Monitor is a 4K TV. Good for Windows desktop and movie watching, but I usually game at 1080p.
Is this setup okay to just swap out the CPU for the new one, or should I hold out for a few more months for a new motherboard?
