Need advice on build

Post Body

I normally like to research every single component and put together a build myself, but I'm pretty busy at the moment, and I'm hoping some of you wonderful people can help me out...

I have about 6k (AUD) absolute maximum to spend. I was hoping to keep it at about 4k, but I think I'll have to be okay with closer to 5k.

I have OS and KB/M, power supply (it's an RM750 which I'm hoping is enough), and a cooler. I need to upgrade my case, and I want a new monitor. The last time I bought an AMD processor was an XP2000, but the core count on the new ones is pretty tempting to me.

I play FPS games sometimes, so I want something suitable for gaming, but I also produce music (lots of softsynths) and sometimes I'll render 3D models. I threw this together super quickly, so I'll need to double check some of the details, but just to give a rough idea of what I'm looking at. I've included the cooler here, but I already have it, and I should have the mounting parts for amd lying around somewhere. The main thing I'm not sure about is what monitor to go for. All my monitors are small 60Hz/1080p, so anything decent will be an upgrade, but I'm tossing up between 4K/144Hz and 1440p/250. The higher res will be better for the 90% of the time I spend not playing games, and even 144Hz will be a big upgrade from the 60Hz I'm used to. Anyway, just hoping I can get some advice as it's been so long since I've looked at PC parts and I really don't know what's good at the moment. Cheers.
