I want to get a rig that will be capable of playing upcoming games at a good performance, but I don't want spend more than $750 on this build because I'm planning on purchasing most of the parts through the Newegg Preferred Account feature. My current assets for this build are $150 as an Amazon gift card and close to another $150 left after purchasing the CPU and RAM. If possible, I want to just purchase from Amazon and Newegg to make transactions simpler.

My current concerns on this build are that I might be going too far with the motherboard and PSU for what I want from this build. Would 550W be more than sufficient if I don't currently plan on OC'ing? As for the motherboard, I want something that I'll be able to use for years when upgrading this rig. The monitor is just one I've picked because of the price. I the 6850 should do just good for what I want, but I'm also considering going for the 6870 if a good discount for it pops up. The case is one I've only chosen because of the high ratings of it and the popularity that I've seen of it here in BaPC. I've never really used or needed more than 500GB of hard drive space so I'm looking to save a few bucks there as well as with the optical drive since I'll only be using for the rare moments I want to watch a DVD or listen to a CD. Can I get some feedback on how this build looks so far and any recommendations you guys might have?

A last note I'd like to mention is that after buying the CPU literally a day before the i5 2500k went on sale for $150, I'm considering possibly waiting a month before going on with buying the rest of the parts in the case of a good sale. I'm new to buying parts, so I don't know if there are any really good deals that pop up during the holiday season compared to the ones we see on a almost weekly basis at Newegg.

Thanks for any help guys.
