So I’m looking to get a mother board, I want the Asus ROG Strix Z490E. I want a cpu with around 10 cores. Is i7 10700k compatible? I looked on pc part picker and it says incompatible but I’ve googled it and it says yes.

(This build is for video editing not gaming.)

Also what is a good but cheaper GPU that will be able to handle 4K video.

I’m new to computer building and don’t want to buy an over priced Mac. I’ve done a lot of research. And bought a bunch of parts and a tower for a motherboard my friend gave me and turns out it doesn’t work 🥺. He gave me a nice GPU too. So now I’m going to just go all out and get new stuff. I’m about 800$ in to this build and I can’t back out now.
