I’m rebuilding a bunch of my pc including a new motherboard. Will my current cpu cooler work on my new setup?

Post Body

So I’m pretty new to the pc world and I recently got an msi z490 tomahawk. My previous setup is quite old so I’m overhauling most of it at this point including a new cpu, RAM, and GPU. As I’m drawing very very close to the end of my budget I’m curious if I can use my old thermalright 120mm cpu cooler on this new setup until I can afford a better cooling system?
