Protecting PC on the carpet

TLDR - I need to put something under my PC so that it does not sit on the carpet.

It might be a bit of a stupid question...

I live in a rented studio flat and the only place I can put the PC (which I am about to build in a very near future) is carpeted. I know it's a bad idea to stand the computer on the capet so I had a quick browse online for mats or pretty much anything I could safely place it on. Have not seen anything that would work.

I would just place it on my desk, but the one I have right now is too small for it.

Is there anything you know of that would help? Is my only option getting a bit of plywood and putting it under the PC tower?
