New build help for friend
Post Body

Hi

My friend's laptop gave up recently and he is about to return to University and wants to get something together soon for Uni work that can also game and do some 3D CAD and rendering (solidworks).

He already has the monitor on this list, so the goal is to maintain 1080p 144Hz on games with high graphic settings.

Budget for new parts (including Windows 10 and keyboard but not monitor or mouse) is £1200 to £1400, preferable around the 1200 mark.

Has a headset without mic so speakers and microphone are only something to consider later/not important right now.

We've got this far on our own but would appreciate feedback: PCPartPicker Part List
