How important are the two extra cores when it comes to gaming? I'm not sure how true this is but someone mentioned that the games in the future might make use of the 2 extra cores in the 3700x. I'm trying to futureproof my build as much as possible.
I was originally planning on the 3600x but I read that comment somewhere and now that seed is planted in my head. Not sure if spending the extra money is worth it or not.
