Build Help/Ready

Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do)

Yes

What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.

  • Gaming - I haven’t had a chance to play many demanding games because I’ve always been on a laptop. But I wanna be able to play most/all games at 1080p and maybe even push it to 1440p. I look forward to COD warzone and the new black ops that’s gonna come out. Also wanna play fortnite/apex. I also play modded Minecraft.

  • School - nothing crazy. Just tons of chrome tabs and large excel files

  • Media consumption - YouTube, Netflix, etc.

If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings)

As mentioned earlier, at least 1080p at max settings, even push it to 1440p at max settings. I currently have 2 1080p monitors that I’m gonna be upgrading during BF weekend to 1440p/144hz.

What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?

~$2000 Canadian.

In what country are you purchasing your parts?

  • I’ll be purchasing parts in Canada and in the US (no micro center). I can order some things to my dads office in the US and they can ship it to Quebec. Everything will be purchased online

Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!)

Provide any additional details you wish below.

  • I’m gonna be waiting for the 3070 to come out so I’d need a cheaper placeholder for the time being. I would like some recommendations. I was looking at the RX 580. I was thinking about buying it second hand. How safe is this?
  • I'm aware that the AIO is completely unnecessary, however I like how they look so I want one included in my build
  • I'm also aware that the 6 case fans is not necessary. But I want all the fans to match and I had the extra budget so why not.
  • I already bought the headset that I included in the build. It went on sale on Amazon for like $100 and snagged it right away. It's still within the return period so if you guys have suggestions on a gaming headset, I'm all ears.
  • I'm open to suggestions on anything!
