I am a programmer by trade, and want to build a desktop PC that maxes out CPU performance, without really any intention of running games on it (I might play some MTGA, but my guess is this build is more than powerful enough for that).
Here is my current build:

For my specific use-case (javascript programming), I really only need single-thread performance, so that's what I really want to max out. I am basically willing to pay as much as is possible on increasing that single-thread performance, and want to keep the rest at an acceptable level.
Since I've developed on Mac so far, I tried to keep the above compatible with making the machine into a Hackintosh, hence some of weirder choices (and why I don't want to use an AMD CPU).
The thing that I would most appreciate is feedback whether the above actually works. I haven't built a PC in 7 years, and I am only like 80% confident that the above won't for some reason fail to turn on when I put all the parts together.
The other big question for me is overclocking. Given that I really care about single-thread performance, I figured that I might want to overclock, but I have no experience with that. I considered buying one of the factory-overclocked 10th gen Intel CPUs, but all of them seemed to be sold out. So maybe I want to try overclocking myself, and would appreciate any pointers on whether that would work with the above setup.
