I recently switched from a r5 2600x to a 3600 and I changed to a b450 tomahawk max from the non max version. I use a aoi nzxt m22 cooler. I idle between 40-50° but when I get into a game or do anything it spikes really high up. I just loaded up to call of duty and it was reading 95 on ryzen master. I ordered the cooler master 212 evo cooler to see if it’s my cooler and that’ll be here Tuesday. Was curious what other think it might be I’ve taken off the cooler re seated the cpu and put new thermal paste on twice now. My system sits at 28° I have a nzxt 510 with plenty of air coming in and out I never had problems with my 2600x. I tried reinstalling windows today but that didn’t do anything. At this point I can’t figure it out and would love any input.
