So the other day, my brothers games were getting a little choppy and he really needed a new rig (the one he was using was about 6-7 years old). I decided to pick a few parts out on amazon and ebuyer for him, ordered them and put the build together today. The parts are: Ryzen 3 3200g Msi a230m-a pro MAX 8gb Hyper x Fury 2666mhz 128gb m.2 ssd 520w psu Gt 1030
Overall the build was mainly for e-sports titles and school work, so it was obviously quite a cheap one. Problem was, i put it all together, turned it on and poof, no display output. All the fans were spinning but no keyboard lights on or output to display. Ive had this issue before with a friend, and they solved it by getting a new mobo completely. However i read that a simple bios update would be fine to get it running again. I used a ryzen 3 1200 from my pc and it worked, so i downloaded the latest bios for that mobo and started the update. This is where the problem re appeared. I let it update and went to do some other stuff, and when I eventually came back 10 mins later, pc was shutdown. I figured it had finished, so turned back on and black screen again.
This is where ive left it. Ive tried different ram in different slots and different gpus and the onboard graphics, no solution. Ive also tried clearing cmos, didnt work, and trying the bios recovery guide from msi, no fix.
Should i return it or is there a fix? Thanks for any help and/or fixes!
TL:DR New pc build, black screens on post, and tried many fixes to no avail. Cpu and motherboard are compatible apparently.
