Hey all! First off, I'm gonna preface that I'm not wholly familiar with PC parts. (Been under a rock for awhile now.) But we've been having some PC challenges here and there and was told it could be our motherboards... So I need assistance seeking motherboards for these two PCs, and a CPU for one of them.
To begin both PCs are primarily focused on gaming while the second one will be streaming.
The Windows 7 Pro PC's problems is that it occasionally fails to multitask well. Its challenges are running a browser (Firefox) and Bluestacks (an Android emulator) together while - let's say Apex Legends or Elder Scrolls Online, on while everything's on low-to-medium settings, it'll drop frames for Apex or Elder Scrolls. These are its specs:
- Operating System: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
- Motherboard: ASUSZ170A
- CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K @ 4.00 GHz
- Storage: 4 HDDs (1TB SSD 4TB HHD 8TB HDD 4TB HDD)
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2080 Ti
- RAM: 32GB DDR4
- Monitor: 2 ASUS VG248 - 24"
- Headset: Hyper X Cloud Alpha
The second PC is a Windows 10 Home Edition and is the dedicate streaming PC. We've considered getting an i9 in the near future. These are its current specs:
- Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
- Motherboard: ASUSZ170 Pro Graming
- CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K @ 4.00 GHz
- Storage: 3 HDD (1TB 2TB 250GB SSD)
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2080 Ti
- RAM: 32GB DDR4
- Monitor: ASUS VN247H-P 23.6" LED Monitor with Speakers, and 2 ASUS VG248 - 24"
- Headset: Hyper X Cloud Alpha
Our budget is $300 per board. This is what we came across on our own. We originally thought getting two boards for each PC would be okay, but we want to ensure if getting an i9 for the streaming PC would be a good match for this board or if another is needed overall.
Of course any leads would be appreciated!
Thanks!
