Should I upgrade my cpu or gpu? I want to play Squad

Right now my GPU is an AMD Radeon RX 570 and my CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5 1400. I want better performance for Squad, right now it sucks balls for me. So should I upgrade my GPU to the AMD Radeon R9 290 or should I upgrade the CPU? I have the game on the lowest graphics and it’s basically impossible to play.
