This is approximately what I'm currently using. To be honest, I don't know that these are exactly what is in my computer, but these are the closest I could get.

I know very little about what to/how to look for things that would be compatible and would run newer games at decent settings at around 60 fps.

I'd prefer something around 200-300 USD for the GPU but I could go a bit higher.

For the RAM I figure it is probably pretty straightforward, but I wanted to know if I just got 2 8gb sticks if I could just break something because I'm stupid? Do I need to look for anything specific, etc?

Any help, whether it be parts directly or information on how to adequately find them myself would be greatly appreciated.
